MOA borker vs AMA insurance

The MOA rally insurance broker, K&K, can not insure an off road ride. Since we advertise an off road 'adventure ride' we can not use K&K for rally insurance.
We will use AMA insurance. However, the rate structure for AMA insurance has a 'breakpoint' at 250. If we have more than 250 attendees the insurance costs will go from @$400 to @$800. You can see the specifics in the form you can download from the American Motorcyclist site. You can view the insurance sanction application by going here:

Then - open the document named 'AMA Road Sanction Form'. You'll need to fill this form out and mail it in along with the initial sanction fee to get rally coverage.

AMA insurance coverage was granted for the Big Bear Rally at Inn Der Bach, Ca. A copy of the rider, invoices, and receipts is stored in the Rally Insurance case. A copy of the rider was faxed up to Daren Dilts along with the addendum that lists 'Owners of the Property' as named insured. All the other insurance paraphenalia is in a 'Big Ole Sample Case' leftover from Ralph Dutras reign of terror as club president. It is large enough to hold all insurance related signs, releases, rules, report forms, and phone lists. Whatever you choose to use to store insurance 'stuff' will work out as well. Just leave enough space for paper because it is not a 'digital' process.

The userid is 'bigbearrally'. The password is 'rallytime'. You can login to Google and go to the calendar and add events. They'll appear here on this site. We can also use that Google user ID (bigbearrally@gmail.com) to send emails to. It's independent from any club site an is Webmail.

The files can be quite large. Too large for most email systems. Too large to attach to this Wiki. The 'graphic ad' 4" x 4" was around 5mb. This site has a 500k limit on attachments. If one had a site where images could be stored via an RSS feed - well - that'd solve the problem. I believe it's possible to use the google account setup for the rally to store images and to link to that Google page from the Wiki. Way too techie.

Staples, Office Depot, Home Depot,Ralphs, Vons....every bodies got a website. Did you want that in paper or plastic? Well, if there's something that would make the 'greeter' job easier - post it in one of the sections. Or, if you want your own section - just ask. We aims to please.

There are four documents in the attached *.pdf file. To view and print them you'll need adobe acrobat.
The broker is K&K insurance. They have agreed to insure the BMWMOA club events for 2007.
The Big Bear Rally is a Class I event. The rate is $235 + 15% surcharge for the miles ridden during the poker run/adventure ride. Roughly $270.

2007 Big Bear Rally Dates....

The dates are those that we set last year....June 8,9,10th...
with setup starting on Thursday the 7th....
As far as fees, I suggest that we strive to work within the same general pricing, except I'd raise the early registration to $45, with the gate fee at $50........this will help pay for the increased site costs and increased food we plan to provide....and it's still a great bargin for a SoCal rally...
As fara as the format, I'd indicate the we will have entertainment, but not be specific...since we have none committed....other wise the same format.....and general plans.....any other thoughts??
